Coaching Programs

Training that adapts
to your actual life.

Every Summit athlete gets a coaching experience built around their goals, their schedule, their stressors, and their body — not a template with their name on it.

Who This Is For

Athletes balancing performance with real life

Summit works with age-group triathletes and endurance athletes who are serious about their training, but also aware that sport has to sit alongside work, family, and long-term health.

Triathlon

Sprint to Ironman distance. Structured swim-bike-run programming with periodised load management across all three disciplines.

Cycling

Road, gravel, or time trial. Power-based training plans with Life Load integration for athletes managing cycling alongside real life.

Running

5K to marathon and ultra. Evidence-based running programs with a focus on consistency, injury prevention, and sustainable progression.

This may not be the right fit if…

you're looking for training to be prescribed without real communication, without context, or without regard for the interaction between sport load and life load. At Summit, we don't do:

  • static training plans without an ongoing coaching relationship
  • one-size-fits-all programming that ignores life outside sport
  • rigid prescriptions with little room for adaptation or judgement
  • coaching that values metrics over communication, context, and sound decision-making
  • shortcuts, quick fixes, or reassurance without honest conversation
What You Get

More than a training plan

Training

Adaptive Programming

Weekly training plans built on TrainingPeaks, adjusted in real time based on your daily check-ins, race calendar, and Life Load. Not a plan emailed once and reviewed once.

Communication

Ongoing Coach Contact

Regular check-ins via your preferred channel. Session notes, weekly feedback, and open communication — because coaching is a conversation, not a broadcast.

Data

Performance Analysis

Workout review and data analysis across power, pace, heart rate, and RPE. Data triangulation — not just dashboard watching — to inform every decision.

Context

Life Load Monitoring

Daily wellness and life context tracking that gives your coach visibility into what's actually happening beyond the training file — sleep, stress, mood, energy.

Racing

Race Strategy & Pacing

Detailed race preparation including pacing plans, nutrition strategy, heat/altitude considerations, and pre-race load tapering calibrated to your Life Load state.

Strength

Strength & Conditioning

Evidence-based strength programming designed to complement your endurance training — not compete with it. Developed from sports science research on strength adaptations for endurance athletes.

"I don't coach training plans. I coach people who happen to have training plans. The plan is the simple part. Understanding the person who has to execute it — that's where coaching actually happens."

How effort is actually understood

Training isn't just about what you do — it's about how your body responds, and how it feels while you're doing it.

At Summit, we use a simple but powerful model: triangulation.

External load shows the work. Internal objective load shows the physiological response. Internal subjective load shows the experience.

On their own, each tells part of the story.
Together, they tell the truth.

This is how athletes learn what effort actually feels like.

Not just hitting numbers — but understanding:

  • what threshold feels like
  • how fatigue presents
  • when the data is right
  • and when it isn't

That's where coaching lives.
Not in the plan — but in the interpretation.

Data tells you what happened.
Context — and experience — tell you what to do next.

Results that go beyond the stopwatch

Success at Summit isn't just measured in PBs — it's measured in consistency, health, sustainable progress, and athletes who keep showing up because the process works for their actual life.
