Leighton Wells, MAppSpSci
Passionate coach, triathlete and sport scientist.

As a passionate coach, triathlete, sport scientist, and advocate for the health and well-being of athletes, I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve their goals while prioritizing their overall health.

I have Master's degree in Applied Sport Science from Deakin University, the world’s number one ranked sport science university worldwide. I am currently doing a PhD in sport science (researching training load in triathlon), and therefore bring a unique and comprehensive perspective to my coaching approach. My expertise in endurance sport and my ongoing research in triathlon inform the creation of personalized training programs. I am also a TrainingPeaks Level 2 Coach.

I firmly believe that a healthy mind and body are the cornerstone of successful training and performance. My goal is to guide you on a journey of growth and progress while avoiding the pitfalls of overtraining, injury, and burnout.

With a Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, a Master's in Applied Sport Science, and my current studies as a PhD candidate in sport science, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. As a researcher, I stay abreast of the latest developments in sport science to ensure that my training programs are based on evidence-based practices.

Balancing the demands of work, family, and training can be a challenge, but with over 30 years of experience as an age group athlete, I understand these struggles all too well. I have completed six Ironmans and countless other endurance events while juggling a demanding schedule, and I am here to help you do the same.

Let's work together to create a customized training plan optimized for your busy lifestyle and help you achieve your endurance goals in a sustainable and fulfilling manner. I am eager to connect with you and embark on this exciting journey towards your ultimate triathlon success.
